At The Villages Charter School Autism Center (TVCSAC), our commitment to excellence extends well beyond the regular school day to our Buffalo Adventures program. Students enjoy educational experiences that reach far beyond the classroom walls with opportunities for enrichment and dedicated time for academic support.
Buffalo Adventures is built on the practices as outlined in our guide training manual, including:
Active Supervision— continuous awareness, proactive safety, strategic positioning
Predictable Structure— visual schedules, routines, transition cues
ABA-Informed Strategies— prompts, redirection, reinforcement, praise
Sensory-Supportive Environments— calm spaces, tools, spacing
Collaborative Teamwork— consistency between guides and Autism Center staff
Presence — showing up grounded, connected, and attuned
These principles ensure that every Buffalo Adventures environment is safe, calm, and supportive.
